Below are a few images from the new website of our friend Anna Beckman, a former editor for Martha Stewart Kids and crafts department member. A few years ago she began studying calligraphy here in New York and its been amazing to see how skilled she's become. She's developed some unusual styles that are derived from traditional hand lettering and her own very beautiful handwriting...

she also has great party inspiration, as for this pin-the-tail on the donkey party. Looks my-T-fine to me! You can see the same unique sensibility that she brought to her crafts projects in Kids, like my favorite, Paper Mache (below).

While I'm at it, I also thought I'd share the very inspiring work (below) of another friend of ours and former Crafts dept. editor, Bella Foster. She is a painter, and you can also see her beautiful watercolor illustrations here.
