On June 25, I was very lucky to be invited to a store opening here in New York City. Besides being super excited to have a good excuse to get dressed up, I was thrilled to finally see the complete collection of Crystallized Swarovski Elements and boy was I impressed! The store (499 Broadway) is amazingly organized (Martha would approve for sure!) and is filled floor to ceiling with crystals!
It is such a spectacle to look at, I had to go back after the crowds of the opening to fully absorb its brilliance. All the loose crystals and elements in every color, shape, and size, with all the jewelry findings one needs to make endless creations— all in one place! The Swarovski Crystallized Elements had inspired me to create a simple heart pendant and bracelet for this past Valentines Day with Martha, but now with this store conveniently located in the middle of Soho's shopping mecca, I might be making all my holiday gifts and more with their stuff! Thanks Swarovski!
Check out this amazing signage in the store all made out of individual crystals! Endless Possibilities indeed!
The intricate bead work of crystals reminds me of one person.... Robert Diamond, the fabulous assistant art director at the Martha Show. He was my date to the event...
And my side kick, don't leave home without her... Melissa, my sister.
And among us at the store opening... Chloë Sevigny, Blake Lively, Evan Rachel Wood, and Lucy Liu
