With holiday crafting in full effect, my room had become a fabric explosion. The mess was really starting to get to me (and it's so much easier to work in an organized space!) so I decided to employ one of Corinne's fabric storage techniques. Muji's simple and functional Makeup Box provides an easy and affordable solution to my organization dilemma.
Five of the largest size holds all my fabric in a compact and portable setup.
I find this method much better than the boxes I used previously- you can easily see your fabrics, instead of digging around and unfolding them all.
The boxes have these handles, so they're really easy to grab.
What are some of your favorite craft organization/storage techniques?

Those containers are nice and stylish! I like the small plastic boxes that lock together with a handle on the top. You can add as many boxes as you want. They're really good for organizing small crafting items.

This is how I store my fabrics. The boxes at the bottom hold small scraps that I use for scrap projects as well as unruly yardage such as net that will not lie as flat as I would like.

I love the Muji containers you're using. It's fun to turn containers sideways like that to use them almost like shelves or crates.
beautiful storage in the photos!

I love the look and function of these boxes. What a clever idea. I hope my sewing room will look this good when I'm done. I can't sew in a mess!
