It's a VERY busy week for us because we're getting ready for a big event this weekend, our first Holiday Craft Sale. It's being held at our offices here in Chelsea, and is open to the public this Saturday from 12 - 6. Many employees here at Martha (including just about every contributor to this blog) will be selling their own handmade crafts. It really is going to be great holiday shopping - there will be ceramics, knit items, clothing, accessories, toys, stationery, ornaments, jewelry, and tons of other great stuff. There will also be many talented vendors from our larger craft community selling their work. Some other highlights: a "craft walk", where participants can win prizes donated by each crafter, with all proceeds going to benefit the George Washington Carver Residence in New York City. There will be food and drinks, and some of our food editors here at the magazine will be selling their own packaged treats.
We're also working hard this week to set up a gallery of many of the projects we featured in the 'Holidays from A - Z' from our December issue. If you are in New York this weekend, we hope you'll come see us!
