Yesterday we held surprise party for Morgan and Silke, whose winter birthdays are very close together... We had a cozy wintry theme of chocolate and tea. See below for some really easy decorating ideas. Silke ended up bringing in homemade chocolate mousse because we'd told her the party was for just Morgan... We felt a bit guilty for tricking her into catering her own birthday, but apparently not guilty enough to turn down the best chocolate mousse ever... we consoled ourselves as best we could with that and lots of other chocolate things! Other highlights: hot chocolate made by Blake, chai tea made my Nick, some really great marshmallows, and pastries from Balthazar, and these cookies.
