We typically tell you about tools we use for vey specific tasks. Bogus paper, on the other hand, is a favorite material around our craft room because it is so versatile. It's 100% recycled, and the perfect shade of grey. We've used it as table runners, place mats, gift wrap, and for card making. It's inexpensive and comes by the roll in a variety of sizes. Consider picking some up as a chic (and green) alternative to brown kraft paper or white butcher paper.

We fringed the edges and sprinkled this runner with confetti for an extra festive table.

Place mat sized rectangles keep a work station tidy.

Great idea! It's not a supply, but I have two metal counter height stainless steel work tables on wheels (wow, long description!) that I LOVE... they rock for any project and can be moved around as needed - even for serving tables down in the dining room!

This looks like it would be good for patternmaking too. Thanks for sharing! Very affordable as well.

I feel similarly about kraft paper. Also baker's twine!

Can you provide a link to the dispenser?

Good question Alicia. These paper dispenser/cutters are really helpful around a studio.

Is there a time efficient way to cut all that fringe? Perhaps shredder scissors or another tool?
From: Morgan Levine | 3/3/10 at 4:09 pm
There certainly is an efficient way to cut that fringe! I used Martha Sewart Crafts' fringe scissors. You should be able to pick them up at Michaels, or, if you google "fring scissors" you'll find several online vendors.

Thanks for the tip! I was throwing a party with a pink, white, and gray color scheme and this made a perfect table runner. Instead of fringing it, we used one of Martha's scalloped edge punches. There are photos on my blog.
