The other week I had the rare opportunity of getting out of the office to see the Philadelphia International Flower Show. It was the perfect day trip from New York, just over an hour by train. The highly attended event dates way back to the 1820s. I briskly walked by most of the floral and landscape displays, but on occasion I would find myself stopped dead in my tracks, slack-jawed at what was before me. The scale of cultural themed presentations made me think of Epcot meets the Tournament of Roses Parade. I was most impressed with the prize winning plants and had some good finds in the Market Place. I also had a chance to introduce myself to Kathleen Gagan of Peony's Envy (giggity) who I knew was coming on our show. Her segment aired yesterday. Check it out on our website if you missed it.
