Get The TechniqueLast month's Stitch Fest was a blast, and one of the highlights was meeting so many of our talented readers. Demonstrating iron-on applique, I met crafter/designer Maria Eife. She was wearing some incredible felt jewelry she designs based on binary code, so you can be covertly nerdy. I love how precise and clean it is, while it's made from such a soft, plush material.
Maria told me each piece is laser cut by a company called Ponoko, and they have a great website that makes it really simple to use their services." She just updated her Etsy site with some terrific new colors. Check out her designs below.

In this Summer's heat, it's hard to put something around your neck and not feel uncomfortable.....but these necklaces feel so light, it's like wearing nothing. You can layer them or wear just one to dress up and not feel hot or uncomfortable at all. I forget it's there until someone notices it and gives me a compliment.
I've already received many compliments on my first day of wearing the necklace.
It's cute, artsy, craftsy, nerdy, funky and feminine. They are really cool designs.
