New York is home to a vast array of specialty stores. I had heard about Leather Impact's tremendous leather selection, but only stopped by for the first time last week. I don't typically work with leather, so I had no idea what to expect. They offer a HUGE range of cords and straps, along with loads of hides in different colors and textures. I took a few pictures to give you a sense of the store. They're open for retail and wholesale in the NYC Garment District, so check it out if you're in the neighborhood and in the the market for some leather.

I discovered Leather Impact several years ago when it was on my route to work. They are definitely an incredible resource! I haven't been in a while but assume they still have a section of less expensive skins that are great for people just starting out with leather crafts. The leather flower segment and this post are inspiring me to stop back into Leather Impact ASAP.
