My friend Angie started a project in April and I thought it was so much fun I wanted to share it. She decided to make a series of small samplers and crochet a word a day for an entire year! In order to give the project some focus she has limited the words to British Slang. Perhaps a bit nostalgic for her homeland, she believes that these words help keep her connected. She has been living in the U.S. for quite some time but she still regularly uses many of the words. They can be quite humorous and she feels they are sometimes the most effective.
The month of April was all about emotions "the way you make me feel" and May is dedicated to "Brit Nosh". Have a look at the words and then feel free to e-mail her at firstname.lastname@example.org with your favorite British word - you never know, it might end up being a crochet word of the day. When she is not madly crocheting the British slang dictionary, Angie keeps busy making other beautiful crafty items.
