Make It : Paper Gift Topper
Posted by Guest
This is Tracy, one of the new summer interns in the Crafts department. Last week, I wanted to wish my dad a happy birthday in a very special way, so I swapped traditional ribbons and bows for something I could make myself. I created a pop-up message ribbon made of strips of paper. I hope he likes his present. Check out the gallery below for instructions.
1 Print out words and cut strips of paper.
2 Use double sided tape to adhere the text to the paper strips.
3 Usinga a craft knife, cut out the tops and sides of each letter. Don't cut out the bottom edges.
5 Pop letters up from strip, folding along the bottom edge.
6 Cut the strips at varying lengths and bend them into circles.
7 Use double sided tape to attach completed circles.
