If you are an independent artist or crafter, we want to hear from you!
We are planning our annual holiday craft sale, which is held here in the company’s creative headquarters in New York City. Many of us on the Crafts team love to offer our handmade gifts to holiday shoppers.
We are happy to announce a contest where, for the first time ever, 3 winners will have the chance to be vendors at the sale!
Don't miss out: We are expecting up to 2,500 shoppers this year! (Take a peek at pictures from last year's craft sale.)
The details:
- WHEN: December 4, 2010
- WHERE: Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Starrett-Lehigh Building, 601 West 26th Street, 9th Floor, New York, NY 10001
Please email us at thecraftsdept@gmail.com with the following:
- a brief bio of yourself
- a description of what you will offer at our sale, including price range
- up to five (5) photos of your handmade wares
- a link to your website or online shop (optional)
Submissions are due by noon, Friday, November 5, 2010.
Once we have received your submissions, 5 finalists will be chosen. These finalists will then be entered into a poll, and readers will cast their votes to decide who wins!
(Full contest rules here.)

What a great opportunity for crafty types! I hope that by next year I'll have my shop organized enough to apply for this.

Awesome! I will definitely share this with our super-crafty fans!

Great idea! Many crafters need the opening of a door somewhere to begin really making it.

I will send you a few of the key pins that I make!
I take old keys, and attach broken jewelry, nuts, bolts
and broken chains, these make a very unique pin.
They are worn on a blazer or coat. each one is different Please take the time to look at them.
I have been in craft sales, and they do make a nice gift. Price range is, $10.00---$15.00.
Thank You
Alice Hoff

hi, what a wonderful opportunity - thanks! question for you - my pieces tend to be one-of-a-kind (or up to four of-a-kind)... is this cool? also how many pieces would you say a vendor would need to have? would only want to apply if i could fulfill that need in time.

Hi Katie,
We have no restrictions on one-of-a-kind products- we love everything handmade! A vendor would need to have ample product, as there will be a lot of traffic through the sale.
Thanks!

If I wasn't going to be at the "No flying because you're about to have a baby" portion of the pregnancy I'd be all up in this. Maybe next year.

This is a wonderful opportunity. I have a line of handmade artisan confections. Would that qualify to enter the annual craft sale?

I wish I could go, not as a vendor but as a buyer.

Hola Martha:
I am very interested to learn scrapbook. I love it. I am living in New York, and i would like to be in that event.
DO you have any ideas of places in DC.
I discover Scrapbook 3 years ago because I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, and my friends made a Scrapbook for me. Since then, I've been interesting.

This sounds like a fabulous opportunity. If one wins and they are coming from out of state do they get to stay with martha? Or crash in the conference room? I am madly trying to get my act together to give this a go. Thanks for the opportunity !

Unfortunately we cannot provide transportation and accommodations- the prize is just for the table at the craft sale. Thanks for your interest and good luck!
