  • My family loves the Monster Mash...yes, it is an old one but traditional and it is a great Halloween party song. Everyone can sing along, dance and have real fun with it. It is upbeat and not too scary for even the littlest of ghouls. It has become a real tradition with our family (even for the little ones) to "Monster Mash" on Halloween!

Happy Hauntings! and I look forward to the Playlist!

  • I've always liked "Night On Bald Mountain" because it was in a Disney Channel special from the 80s called "Disney's Halloween Treat".

Also, Winnie the Pooh's "Heffalumps and Woozles" has been associated with Halloween for me too.

  • Monster Mash, always makes me smile when I hear it.

  • Monster Mash is my favorite - it was #1 on this day back in 1962.

  • "Stirring and Stirring" was my favorite song as a kid.

  • ghost town by the specials. amazing song!

  • The Monster Mash, of course!!!

  • Hmmm... MOnster Mash I suppose!

  • These are so cute to decorate for a Halloween bash! And definitely 'Time Warp' from the Rocky Horror Picture Show :)

  • my favorite is "the oogie boogie man song" from "the nightmare befor christmas." so fun!

  • I know it's been said a million times already, but Monster Mash is just so much fun! My husband wants to make a playlist thos year with that song on repeat. A song that scares me? The score from Halloween. So creepy!

  • Ministry - Everyday is Halloween

Because I don't want Halloween to just be one day :(

  • The Monster Mash, of course!

  • We have this great CD called Halloween Howls, by Andrew Gold, it's super awesome. Some of my favorites are: Creature From The Tub, Gimme A Smile, and a classic, The Monster Mash. And I am soo excited for The Rocky Horror Picture Show Glee episode!

  • These are sooo cute! Creepy crawly's around the house! As long as they are pretend, it's all good! My favorite Halloween song is a preschool song that you whisper till the end: "Black cat, black cat up in the tree. Black cat, black cat looking at me. Black cat, black cat get down from there. Black cat, black cat don't give me a scare. BOO!"

  • Any song from "It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown". Whoo-hoo!

  • I like Monster Mash! Boo! Sally

  • Fave song "I put a spell on you" - from the movie Hocus Pocus. Love Martha's Halloween goodies!

  • Okay, fine it's been said before but I just love the Monster Mash. It really makes me feel like it's Halloween.

  • It's a tie between "This is Halloween" from The Nightmare before Christmas and "Soul Cake" by Sting. Two very different songs, but both great - I strongly suggest them for any mixes!

  • Dracula by Gorillaz!

  • How about the one-eyed one-horned flying purple people eater? Does that song count as a Halloween song? I know I'd be pretty scared to come across one!

  • My son put together a dance routine (quite entertaining, too!) to Werewolves of London, so that's my favorite song thisiyear. :)

  • the beginning and end of Thriller always get to me!

  • "I put a spell on you" from the movie Hocus Pocus, loved watching that movie as a child and would always make my little brothers dance with me during that song!

  • I love the introduction on the Sleepy Hollow soundtrack -- refined, yet adequately spooky! And a non-song that is great is Poe's "The Raven" (best when played on a record with that timeless sound only a record can offer!).

  • Though short and simple, the theme from The Twilight Zone still manages to be creepy and evocative.

  • It's got to be Michael Jackson's Thriller for me. I want to break out in dance every time I hear it.

  • Season of the Witch by Donovan
Wicked Old Witch by John Fogerty
Werewolves of London by Warren Zevon
And, of course, no list is complete without Monster Mash!

  • Nothing gets me more psyched up for Halloween then the theme from Psycho!

  • My dad always sings this Halloween song and I have no idea what it's called, he said he learned it in grade school. I've searched the internet but have came up empty handed maybe dad changed a few ltyrics here and there. lol Second choice: This is Halloween from a Nightmare Before Christmas

  • EEEEEKKKS! 'Monster Mash' by Bobby (Boris) Pickett

  • "Halloween" - AFI's version, Misfits one is great too!!!

  • What about "Love Potion No. 9"?

  • I think a few of Emilie Autumn's compositions are kind of eerie. The three I like best are 1. Unlaced, 2. Leech Jar and 3. A Strange Device.

  • Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D Minor played on the pipe organ. The beginning conjures images of a dark castle with bats flying around, the organ echoing through the halls, and Dracula crawling out of his casket!

  • My favorite spooky Halloween song is "Thriller" by Michael Jackson.
330 Halfway Pond Rd. Plymouth, MA 02360

  • My favorite song is not that scary, it is quite a catchy little tune called "Witch's Brew" by Hap Palmer.

  • I agree with "I Put a Spell on You" from the movie Hocus Pocus! Its my favorite :)

Makes me recall late nights, sipping on hot teas & ciders (as I got older ones mixed with rum or good wine...) and crafting/quilting with my mom and 3 sisters....This song ALWAYS gives me that Halloween feeling....and makes me giggle when I recall singing this song together with all of us!! ~^..^~

  • Oooh this is so much fun! Can I have more than one?
I concur with the many who have suggested Thriller, and This is Halloween Town. I also agree with the the lone "Stirring and Stirring", and would like to add the children's song "5 Little Pumpkins" - whenever I think of that song, I think about when I was little, and what my childhood home looked and felt like around Halloween. <3 (also, the one and ONLY song my tone-deaf dad is allowed to sing is Monster Mash)

  • Ok, a couple I love that i don't think have been mentioned yet:

The Martian Hop by The Ran-dells (aliens count as halloween-y right?)

The Blob (or sometimes found as "Beware of the Blob") by the Five Blobs (actually one singer called Bernie Nee)
