All eyes were on the details...This cubby is...
...just one cubby of this cabinet. This cabinet was just part of...
...this larger set...
...which was built in the tool barn on Martha's property.
This is how it looked behind the set.
For all those details, many bins of stuff had to be brought to the location.
Glass domes await to be put to use.
Tables of fun things...
...await placement.
Bones are always useful.
Especially when the bones are decorating frames.
Just in case people forget.
These framed collections were super easy to make.
Bone table from the October issue of Living.
Real plants add to the décor.
The collection frames have a great impact.
Vintage animal anatomy charts, beakers filled with mystery fluids, and Martha Stewart Craft items create a spooky lab.
It's anybody's guess what might be brewing in the sink.
Maryanne and Adam stand in while cameras and lighting set up for the first demo.
Monitors help everyone know what the cameras are seeing.

Behind set, sat some folks....
and above there were some more...
...that did magical things, like make these snakes move.
Basil Twist led this team of puppeteers in bringing elements of life to the set.
All these creepy mask were set up to twist and move during the taping.
Reminders to everyone to be careful.
Francesca even showed up and became a prop.
Brendan Fraser was so excited about the set, he had his son come and visit.
Even when told not too, people still touch everything.
Off the set, props and supplies mix in easily with the tools that always live in the barn.
Some behind the scenes action...

Brendan really was such a great guest to let us wrap him up...
...to then be strapped down to a board over a fire...
...so that Martha could roast him.
And this creepy dish is what Martha made with Brendan's head once he was fully cooked.
Ok, I kid...it's a "brain" made from shrimp and aspic.
Brendan does some rehearsing...
...to make sure he matches up with his skeletal reflection in the full size two-way mirror.

I have been trying every search I can think of to find out when the Halloween Special will re-air. I am getting nowhere. This link was of no help. Hallmark's web site is of no help and my service provider is of no help. I did program my cable recorder to record the special but it did not. There is something about the way my service provider handles the Martha Stewart shows that is baffling me. I can get it to work for all my other shows but I am having no luck trying to record the re-airing of the Halloween Special.

It looks amazing! I know a boy who would have loved a visit though he might have snatched a few things!
