Pinecones really lend themselves to being turned into turkeys for festive décor ideas for the holiday season, like these fun guys.
And after a quick search on Martha Stewart, two more ideas show up:

Feathered Pinecone Turkey

Cone Husk Pinecone Turkey
I couldn’t help myself from adding to the collection with this new version done with a corner punch from the Martha Stewart Double Arches Punch Around the Page.

1 Punching a corner—wings out
2 Corner complete
3 But for this project, the punch can also be used like this—wings in...
4 ...since it will be cut out to look like this—kind of like an ice cream cone.
5 Punch five in any color you like.
6 For the beak, fold a small piece of paper.
7 Cut a triangle, and there you have it!
8 Insert punched pieces in the back of the pinecone, and glue beak to the front. A piece of paper with a name means it's ready for the table.
9 I couldn't help myself.

This year Pinecone Turkey V3.0 will be spending Thanksgiving with distant cousin Gourd Gobbler .
Hope everyone has an excellent Thanksgiving!

I don't have this punch but I do have other Martha Stewart punches. Funny, I haven't seen this one around but now I'll certainly start looking for it!
