When Curbed invited us to participate in their decorating showdown, we took one look at the dollhouse and instantly thought, "gingerbread house!"
Maybe it was the season. Maybe it was our love of candy. Either way, we decided on a confectionary submission:

I'd like to know how you cut those candy canes for the door with such precision. Or was it just a lot of trial and error? (i.e. breaking up a lot of canes and seeing which parts fit)

we broke the candy canes by hand and then used a craft knife to trim down to the perfect size- it was actually much easier than you might imagine!
