Maybe it was the season. Maybe it was our love of candy. Either way, we decided on a confectionary submission:

1 Necco wafer shingles
2 gumstick clapboards
3 candy cane frames
4 Gumdrop trees (the meringues were later replaced with pretzel trunks)

I'd like to know how you cut those candy canes for the door with such precision. Or was it just a lot of trial and error? (i.e. breaking up a lot of canes and seeing which parts fit)

we broke the candy canes by hand and then used a craft knife to trim down to the perfect size- it was actually much easier than you might imagine!
