For the March issue of Living, we worked on a cross-stitch story with single colors and simple patterns; perfect for a crafter-on-the-go.

With the help of Zweigart and the good people at DMC— make that GREAT people. After stitching at full force and running out of the precise shade of brown that we needed for the photo shoot the next day, Allison personally dropped some off at the 11th hour. Our hero!—we were able to create a mini menagerie and a collection of symbols for hobbyists.
You can even turn your own image into a pattern by printing our template onto clear acetate and using it as a grid.

I just received my copy of the March issue and I squealed when I came upon the cross-stitch feature. So modern and so easy! Thanks for the endless inspiration!

I haven't cross stitched in years. These might be a good way to get back to it. They're really cute.
