A couple weeks ago, I was lucky enough to take a day trip down to Kutztown, Pennsylvania, with the Collecting Department. Fritz and Liz toured me around a large outdoor antiques show, as well as several antiques shops that Fritz knew well in the area. There were so many treasures—I've never seen anything like it! And what a special treat to see it all with such veteran collectors—Fritz could tell you the history of every object in the place. I found so much inspiration that day. I'd like to share some of my favorite photos with you. I'd love to hear which ones you find the most inspiring!
If this looks like something that excites you, I recommend checking out the Brimfield Antique and Collectibles Show, in Brimfield, Massachusetts, starting this Sunday! If you're not in the Northeast, check out more of Fritz's recommendations for the best collecting sources. And don't forget to look for the incredible and inspiring collecting stories that he and Liz do in Living each month. It may help you spot the real treasures at the next antique show!

I love the quilt images - 9 & 10. My grandmother loves to quilt and I only wish I had picked up the talent from her! On most Saturdays this summer, I spend all day at her house and she works on quilts for Christmas presents for my friends and family, and in exchange I have been re-painting all the rooms in her house. I found these really cool buckets to use for paint buckets that I match to the color I'm using for each room. It's been great because grandma can easily remember what color I'm using to paint, and they're really easy to clean. Thanks for this post, I am printing off pictures of the quilt to show my grandma!
