Around Town : New York Shopping, Part Two

Posted by

A while back I posted about some of the specialty stores I've stumbled upon while shopping for the department. Here's another round of places I've visited on recent supply adventures... if you're in New York or will be soon, check them out!

  • Dear Martha,
Since my birthday is in January my husband is bying me a "Martha Stewart punch" every month!!! Yahoo He actually started in December and he bought me the monarch butterfly, the snowflake around the corner set and 2 all over the page punches. Today I received the ek around the page large combo wild flowers!!! They are soooo beautifull. Would it be an idea to start certifying people to teach crafts with tools that carry your name!!! Like for example at Micheals they have classes with certified instructors for "one stroke painting" If you do think this is a good idea please let me be one of the first ones!!!!! I would love to come to New York to visit your show. I was diagnosed with stage 4 bladder cancer with metastasis to my brain on july 29 2010. After brain and bladder surgery and chemo and radiation treatments I am now in remisssion!!! Just today received the results from my latest P.E.T. scan. So I keep myself busy with crafts and especially digitizing of embroidery designs. Thank you for all the great shows and ideas!!!! Now have your magazine on my Ipad.!!! Yahoo.
    Love Henny Tholkes

  • These are amazing resources! Hoping to get up to NYC soon.

  • Congratulations on your remission, Henny!

  • Thank you for this post. I just booked my NYC trip for March and made a note to check the blog for the first post! Serendipity!

  • OMG I think I'm actually glad I don't live anywhere near NYC, 'cause I'd go absolutely crazy.... And broke too... Thnx for the overview!! x. Maria (The Netherlands)
