It's already reached above 100 degrees here in New York this summer, which means gone are the days of sporting pants and leggings on the street. We've spotted a few cute DIY projects using simple pairs of shorts on the web, and thought a round-up was in order!

Taking a pair of plain shorts- we like these and these, and embellishing them with our paint and fabric medium, results in a chic summer look.
