I don't know about you, but sometimes I find craft supplies in the most surprising places. On a recent trip to the garment district, I stumbled upon Capitol Fishing Tackle Company (their great vintage-looking neon sign caught my eye.)
As it turns out, Capitol Fishing Tackle has been in NYC for over 100 years, and is filled with fun surprises.
I can picture a sweet nautical garland made from these bobbers.
Now you'd have to be VERY careful removing the hooks, but I can picture these lures making a killer pendant or pair of earrings.
I don't have any idea what these are for, but they're kind of wild!
Am I crazy or would a few of these tasseled fish make a cool necklace?
Complete your chic aquatic look with these white boots.
I bought 5 of these styrofoam bobbers to make a necklace. They're shaped just like big chunky beads, and only cost 15 cents a piece!
Where is the most unusual place you've found craft inspiration? And what are some unexpected supplies that you love?

My husband and I often talk about opening a craft and fishing tackle shop. I really think it would be a brilliant idea.
