Have you see the Easy Entertaining piece in the August issue of Living? As we were chanelling the flavors and ease of Mexico, I turned to this great vendor for Mexican banners.

Mexevents.com in San Fransisco has an amazing selection of Mexican banners - wonderful shapes, sizes and colors for whatever occasion you are celebrating. I particularly loved the Papel Picado Banner in large. I ended up using the chocolate color and embellishing the garland by tying on a bit of seam binding.

I also wrapped single pieces of the garland around a large and small votives as an extra touch.

  • I use clean blank pizza boxes to store all my stamps and scrapbooking papers and stickers. My neighborhood pizza place sells them to me for a small price. For stamping, I stamp each stamp on the top of the box so I can find them quickly. I divide my scrapbooking papers into catagories and themes and label each box on the front panel. I use two sizes, med. and large and the medium boxes are large enough for 12x12 sheets of paper. I also use the large boxes for each individual project I am working on so I stay organized and my projects lay flat and don't get crumpled. I have at least twenty boxes, all labeled and easily accessible on a shelf over my craft table. This may not be a new idea for a lot of your fans, I have just never seen it anywhere. Love the website. I have learned so many wonderful techniques from it and use Martha's products too. Thanks!
