Inspiration Board : October Good Things

The Good Things section of the October issue of Living is full of easy ideas to get you ready for fall and most importantly, Halloween! These simple projects take very little prep and don't require much in the way of materials. Take a look below!

Jodi brings us a genius way to make festive pancakes, like the spiderwebs below. Just snip the top of a squeeze bottle and follow instructions to form spooky shapes.

These leaf rubbings are made with crayons and thin sheets of colored paper - they're great as gift toppers or place cards.

This bat mobile is incredibly simple to make. Just print our template and cut out onto card stock, then thread in string to hang from a branch (salvaged from you or a neighbor's back yard!).

Jodi used a mixture of confectioners sugar, meringue powder and food coloring piped out of Ziploc bags to make these sweet candy-corn dots.

We hope these quick ideas inspire you to start thinking about how you will celebrate Halloween this year!

  • The bat mobile is so cute.

  • October is my favorite time of year. Love the leaf rubbings. I remember doing this when I was a kid. I would have to say it is also the time of year I am the most creative. Thanks!
