Our Sources : Into the Woods

Marcie's Into the Woods story was made possible in part by some of our favorite vendors.

Marcie used sheets of real wood to create the candle-holders which rested on the mantle. Our friends at Creative Imaginations worked with us to get just the right size and thickness of real sheets of cherry wood. You can find the 12 x 24 sheets of wood here.

The ornaments and the embellishments on the stockings were made using a needle felting technique. Colonial Needle Company advised us on which needle felting foam was best to use and provided us with the right needles. You can find the needle felting tools needed to make the projects here.

The wonderful ladies of Downtown Dough in Wisconsin produced the cookie cutters for us - I love the animals in particular! Click here to order the cookie cutters seen in the story.

We have always loved the company Save-on-Crafts, but was amazed to discover the wealth of products they carry outside of the realm of glue and glitter. They provided us with real slabs of wood, candle holders and stumps. They are a wonderful, affordable source for natural products (click here to see their stock of stumps, tree slices, etc) - a big thank you to them!

Cream City Ribbon is a great source for paper ribbon, which can be found on the packages being wrapped by busy bears. Click here to see the range of ribbon styles and colors:
