Around Town : Storefronts

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in New York. Shop owners in my neighborhood of the West Village of New York seem to be trying to outdo each other with whimsical, inspired store fronts. It makes for a very merry walk to work!

I love this trio of tiny trees outside of restaurant Buvette in the West Village. So simple and beautiful!

A wreath of boxes! There's something refreshing about a black and white palette for the Holidays.

Silke first spotted this window front at MM6 - I had to check it out for myself...

....Those are fingerprints! What a clever interpretation of snow.

Giant, gold Christmas balls mimic balloons in this storefront.

Brunello Cucinelli gilded leaves and pinecones for a simple, sophisticated look.

Ralph Lauren makes a statement with lots and lots of greenery.

Children's clothing store Bonpoint has such wonderful window displays - this one reminds me of a whimsical, winter fairytale.

Jack Spade's window display is one of my favorites this year. It's hard to see in this photo, but there are bags of ice scattered inside this "cooler."

Chelsea Market went with a wintery, white palette for their indoor decor.

There are groupings of trees, leaves and branches (inside!) that have been dusted white to look like fresh snow.

  • Thanks for the little taste of NYC holiday magic! Those shoes at Brunello Cucinelli also caught my eye...
