If you live in New York or are planning a trip soon (before March 17th, to be exact), you must make it to the Met to see Matisse!
The exhibition, entitled "Matisse: In Search of True Painting" is made up of forty nine works. Most of the pieces in the show shed light on the artist's somewhat cooky process; he was notorious for constantly revising, redoing and even destroying his work. The paintings chosen for the exhibition are among his most colorful and most vibrant, so you're in for a real treat.
Our Deputy Style Editor Tanya Graff took her kids to see the exhibit last weekend, then challenged them to create their own works of art based on Matisse's work from a still life they made at home. How amazing are the little masterpieces below?
Be sure to make it to Matisse! The show is on view now until March 17th, click here for more information.
