In the February issue of Living, we featured textile artist and stylist Ashley Helvey on our Tastemaker page.
Ashley makes these amazing felt area rugs, often featured in exhibitions around the world. They're also popular as wall installations in some of the country's top restaurants. She's most recently been commissioned to complete a felted-wool installation for the Berkeley Art Museum. She's also an instructor at California College of the Arts.
One of the things I love most about Ashley is that she cares deeply about her materials. She only works with environmentally friendly wool and yarn from Montana's Thirteen Mile Lamb & Wool Company.
