Did you see the travel bag round-up on page 36 of our March issue of Living? I couldn't ignore my obsession for renowned Swedish designer Josef Frank when I chose this bag.
Frank began his career as a teacher at the Vienna School of Arts in 1919, and grew to be one of the most influential designers at the Stockholm Design company Svenskt Tenn. He designed wallpaper, carpet and fabrics, all with a whimsical and refreshing edge. His work seems to be inspired by botanicals, and almost always has a bit of a wacky palette. I find his prints so cheery and inspiring (and luggage can be so boring!).
A few of my favorite Josef Frank textile patterns are below:
Online shop Svenskt Tenn sells bags in several vibrant Joseph Frank prints. You can find them here.
