Here in the Crafts Department, we're long-time fans of RIT Dye.

Marcie recently used an array of sunny yellows, oranges and red RIT colors for her Drop-Cloth Decorating story in the May issue of Living, so I thought it would be a nice opportunity to round up some of our favorite dyeing projects starring the irreplaceable RIT.

Silke used RIT (in "Evening Blue," "Denim Blue" "Lemon Yellow" and "Purple") for the dip-dyed cups and bowls above. They ran in the May issue of Living last year - perfect for Mother's Day!

Blake's shibori-inspired scarves from the 2012 October issue of Living were made using RIT and a long piece of fabric (which she did an accordion fold on before dipping). Click here for the full how-to.

Remember this fun summer project? It was brought to us by our friends at RIT, of course. Click here for more of our favorite dyeing projects.
