Contests & Prizes : Knit Kit

Posted by

Anne Catherine and I have known each other for 14 years. We met when she first started freelancing with us for Martha by Mail. We'd develop all sorts of craft kits together, but we loved it most when yarn was involved.  Sadly there is no more Martha by Mail, and just as sadly, Anne Catherine moved back to Switzerland 7 years ago. But that doesn't stop us from having long email conversations (and way too few visits) about knitting. I get the occasional chance to develop a knitting project for Martha Stewart Living, but Anne Catherine has managed to start her own business that lets her live and breathe knitting and crocheting - 'Knit Kit'.

I love these poufs, but she also has a whole farm of adorable animals (keep looking for more translations soon), and beautiful accessories.

The instructions are incredibly thorough, with many how to photos, and full sentences (none of the confusing abbreviations). For years we've been talking about how she needs to translate her patterns in English, so more of the world (and not just the few of us who speak German), can knit her beautiful kits, and it finally happened ! To celebrate this, she's giving away a free pattern of your choice to 5 of our readers.

yarn ball

All you have to do is guess how many yards (yes, she translated that from meters as well !) are in this ball of yarn. Email your answer  by August 2nd, and we'll let you know, if you're a winner. If not, you can of course still purchase her amazing patterns here. Happy Knitting  and congratulations, Anne Catherine!
